Can you believe it is almost our 1st birthday: a whole year of being in our favorite city on beloved Fillmore Street? Time surely does fly you when you’re having fun, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We have had so many special moments with our customers – sharing their ups and downs, looking forward to their visits with their furry friends, and watching them fall in love with their style as they rock our cool shoes.
We kicked off summer with a pop-up shop in the Dogpatch at La Scuola International School. In partnership with Superga Italy & USA, Claudia Volpi, Superga SF owner and mother of three, designed an exclusive La Scuola shoe (pictured below) which was pre-sold and arrived in August just in time for the kiddos as they start school.
The design shows off the school’s logo which symbolizes globalism and the celebration of different cultures and languages. A portion of sales from the special edition shoe is donated to the school for enrichment purposes.
Come June our shoes’ colorful, summer palette was the perfect complement to the wonderful PRIDE celebrations in our city. We hosted a Pride Party, along with Jonathan Adler and Zinc Details, with rainbow chalk art all over the street to raise money for the San Francisco LGBT Community Center. Love permeated our space, and we couldn’t get enough.
In August we welcomed Outside Lands with a festival styling event, and together with fashion blogger Kat Walk SF and jewelry designer Marrin Costello, we bedazzled and outfitted the crowd in the fiercest wear – our comfortable shoes a must! Thanks to no one leaving empty-handed, funds were raised to support MUTTVILLE Senior Dog Rescue. And the band played on… Benji.
To bring summer to a close and to kick off fall, we partnered with a non-profit for a Back to School Shopping Frenzy. Families enjoyed live jazz music, nibbles, tattoos for the kids, and Easy Breezy discount cards, but more importantly each purchase benefited Raphael House kids, so that they too could have a new pair of shoes for school.
Superga SF donated a whopping eight-two pairs of fresh kicks! It feels great to be able to give back to our local community, and we’re happy that our customers and neighbors shared in that with us.
